PostScript

PostScript is a page description language, it has existed under this name since 1984 and was developed by the company Adobe. Over the years it become a de facto standard in the printing industry and is supported by most modern printers. Graphics and print pages in PostScript format can be printed in any size and resolution without any losses. All graphical elements and fonts are scalable vector graphics. Raster graphics can also be embedded, they are rescaled depending on the resolution of the output device.

Using PS in the LayoutEditor

The use of PostScript files by the LayoutEditor is limited to an export. Only visible layers in the current cell will be exported. Exported designs will be arranged in the lower left corner of the paper with a one cm border. The output is in real size unless you set up a scale factor via the setup dialog.
